I write lots of things

Sometimes, they're things that make computers do stuff.

When I'm writing, I live in a Midori Traveler's Notebook and am exclusively a #FountainPen geek.

Some of the creative excuses I have to avoid actually writing include working as a software developer, keeping my children from killing themselves, spending too little time with my beloved wife, making cider, drafting incredibly boring bios for websites that nobody will every read anyway, and making really quite excellent cups of tea.

Writing

Very little of my work is online. There's some drivel on Medium, On Being, and Al Jazeera. You can find a bit elsewhere if you look hard enough, maybe in a published collection, or a children's book, or performed on a stage, maybe hidden in the guest journal of a rental house in a small coastal Oregon town...

Twitter is the place where I used to write entirely too much in an entirely too short a format. Since I've left there (and deleted all my tweets), you can email me or see me on LinkedIn. I use Github everyday, but most of my work is in private repos. I'm on StackOverflow as well.

Gorge Lit

The Gorge Literary Journal. An experimental lit mag published in cooperation with the Hood River News. You know, so I can help other people write, instead of actually writing myself. If you write, you should consider submitting (but do please read and follow the submission guidelines).

Slopeswell

I'm a cidermaker at Slopeswell Cider specializing in dry champagne-style and Spanish style ciders, among other things. I've even presented workshops on hopped ciders, because that's apparently better than actually writing, somehow.
